- Growth Medium

With Bioscreen any commercial or own made liquid growth medium can be used.

When a solid growth medium composition is wanted to use then a liquid form of same medium will be produced by preparing a medium where a liquidification agent agar-agar is omitted.

Most of microorganisms which grow traditionally on solid medium will grow in liquid medium even better.

Growth media and microorganism cultures are not included to Bioscreen C equipment.

Bioscreen C is an incubating turbidometer and it doesn't complain if there is bad or wrong growth medium in wells (or if the wells are completely empty).

Examples of Standard Growth Media Suitable for Microbiology Reader (Growth Curves Reader) Bioscreen C:

Arginine Broth, Azide Dextrose Broth, Bolton Selective Enrichment Broth, Brain Heart Broth, Brilliant-green 2 %-Bile Broth, Bromocresol-purple Azide Broth, Buffered Listeria Enrichment Broth, Casein-peptone Lecithin Polysorbate Broth, CASO Broth (Casein-peptone Soymeal-peptone Broth), DEV Dextrose Broth, DEV Glutamate Broth, DEV Lactose Broth, DEV Lactose Peptone Broth, DEV Tryptophan Broth, Differential Reinforced Clostridial Broth (DRCM), EC Broth, Enterobacteriaceae Enrichment Broth, FRASER Listeria Selective Enrichment Broth, Staphylococcus Enrichment Broth, GN Enrichment Broth, ITC (Irgasan Ticarcillin Chlorate) Broth, Lactose Broth, Lauryl Sulfate Broth, LB-Broth (LENNOX), LB-Broth (MILLER), Letheen Broth, Listeria Enrichment Broth (LEB), M-(Mannose) Broth, MacCONKEY Broth, Malachite-green Broth, Malt Extract Broth, mEC Broth with Novobiocin, MRS Broth (Lactobacillus Broth), MR-VP Broth (Methyl-red VOGES-PROSKAUER Broth), mTSB Broth with Novobiocin, MUELLER-HINTON Broth, Nutrient Broth, L-PALCAM Listeria Selective Enrichment Broth, Phenol-red Broth Base , SABOURAUD-2 % Dextrose Broth , Salmonella Enrichment Broth, Salmonella Enrichment Broth, Salmosyst Broth Base , Selenite Cystine Broth , Selenite Enrichment Broth, Sodium chloride peptone broth (buffered) , Standard I Nutrient Broth , Staphylococcus Enrichment Broth Base, TBG-Broth (Tetrathionate-Brilliant-green Bile Enrichment Broth), Tetrathionate Broth, Tetrathionate Broth Base, Tetrathionate Crystal-violet Enrichment Broth, Thioglycollate Broth , Tryptic Soy (CASO) Broth, Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB), Tryptose Broth , Tyrobutyricum Broth Base , Urea Broth , UVM-Listeria Selective Enrichment Broth, Vitamin B12 (Lactobacillus) Assay Broth, Vitamin Biotin Assay Broth , Vitamin Folic Acid Assay Broth, Vitamin Nicotinic Acid Assay Broth , Vitamin Pantothenic Acid Assay Broth, Wort Broth, Yersinia Selective Enrichment Broth
