Bioscreen C
main application is a kinetical growth monitoring of 200 microbiological samples at time. Bioscreen C generates growth curves and performs microbiological calculations automatically.

Bioscreen C is an open system for almost any broth culture of bacteria, yeast, fungi, cell or phage.

It is a well-known biological phenomena that all microorganisms produce a turbidity when growing in a growth medium. Bioscreen C measures a sample turbidity kinetically and displays turbidity versus time graph (growth curves) on screen.

Bioscreen C is a useful equipment for those labs where a microorganism growth is wanted to monitor kinetically. Growth data is recoreded kinetically to a computer hard disk. Among other uses it is a useful tool to measure an effect of environmental parameter or pH on microorganisms. Bioscreen C can be used both for aerobic and for anaerobic strains.

One can dispense in empty sterile wells of Bioscreen C any sample (typically a cell or microorganism culture and a growth medium) and 200 growth curves will be produced automatically. Each well gives a growth curve (turbidity versus time graph).

The range of Bioscreen C tests is virtually endless - miniaturized bioassays, measurement of effect of chemicals, pH, temperature and other parameters on micro-organisms, antibiotic susceptibility tests, QC of food (total count) and others.
